Doctors Care strives to fuel donor affinity for the organization’s mission and activities, and develop a solid support base beyond foundation and corporate partners. By supporting Doctors Care and the patients we serve, donors receive – in addition to a sense of well-being that comes with contributing to a worthy cause – a means of staying informed on the organization and related issues.
Development staff utilize communication tools such as newsletters, website posts and e-mail blasts to reach a broader audience and to communicate with supporters more frequently. Social media is also used as a more progressive way to engage donors and keep them informed about issues affecting the uninsured and underserved. Our social media program focuses on increasing awareness of Doctors Care’s mission within the community, and creates a way for constituents to stay engaged with the work of the organization. Doctors Care recognizes all of its supportive donors and foundations by name in various grants and communications, including the annual report.
